Commandments For Transmission
I will check my
tire pressure once a month. By doing this, I will get more
miles per gallon, lengthen the life of my tires and get better
braking. But most of all, I will be driving a safer
car.- I will
have the transmission fluid changed every twelve months or 12,000
miles. By doing this, I will prevent major transmission damage,
saving me hundreds of dollars in auto repair.
- I will
check under the hood of my car
once a week. By doing this, I will catch the little things
before they become big things.
- I will
have my car safety-checked every six months. I don't need any
laws requiring this check-up; I know the importance of safety
inspections.
- When I
take my car in for repairs, I will not tell the technician what to
do to repair it. I will ask what is wrong with my car, how
much it will cost to have it repaired and ask that no repairs are
made until I'm called.
- I will
never sign a blank repair order. It's like signing a blank
check.
- I will
always leave a number where I can be reached when I leave my car
for repair work.
- I will
read my owner's manual from cover to cover. The more I know
about my car, the less money I'll spend on auto repair.
- I will
have a preventive maintenance inspection performed on my car every
six months. A well-maintained car is a safe car.
- My car
is very important to me and without it I would be lost. From
this day forward, my car will receive loving care.
